ABSTRACT:
An 8 page contention that the U.S. must change our foreign policy from the mistakes of our past to an effective policy which reworks the political ideologies of other countries from the inside out. Because failed and fragile states, like Afghanistan and Columbia become bases for terrorist groups, the United States must craft a strategic nation-building program which encompasses economic and social development as well as democracy and human rights promotion.
